Anamur lies in Mersin province on Turkey’s southern coast. Between the Mediterranean and the Taurus mountains, bananas are grown both outdoors and under cover.
Mersin’s agricultural directorate dates the introduction of banana plants to Anamur from Alanya to 1934. This farming history gives the origin local roots, distinct from the commercial specifications of an individual farm.

A banana from a recognised growing region
Anamur is one of Turkey’s principal historic banana-growing regions. Its Mediterranean environment is particularly well suited to banana cultivation.
Several cultivars are grown in the region. Commercial specifications — variety, size grade, ripeness and packaging — are defined for each lot offered.

The name “Anamur Muzu” is a registered geographical indication in Turkey. Anamur Premium is an independent brand and clearly distinguishes the product’s origin from the specifications of each individual lot.
